Do you feel weighed down with life or do you face apprehension among crowds?

The person may become exhausted and can withdraw to reclusion & loneliness. Your frequent visits to the doctors’ are not helping. Instead, each time you leave the surgery you’re feeling worse! Your doctor’s words are spinning in your mind, “clinically depressed”. “Surely it must be a mistake”, a tiny voice in you say! “How can I be diagnosed with depression” you wonder.

Sadness, unhappiness, hopelessness, downheartedness and deep despair are a neurological disorder, therefore treatment has to be two-fold. When a person lacks confidence, everything in life becomes overwhelming.

Knowing that we have a choice is very comforting. We can either believe everything we hear and continue feeling miserable or we can do something about it. THE CHOICE IS OURS!

There Are No Misfortunes or Mistakes – Just Opportunities for you to be Amazing!

When something depressing happens. I have three choices.

  1. I can either let it define me.

  2. Let it destroy me.

  3. Or I can let this experience STRENGTHEN me!

Learning excites me and it is the only thing for me. Look out for what a lot of things there are to learn. That is the only thing, which the mind can never use up, never separate from, never belabored by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting - The acquisition of Knowledge is the secret to everything.

To inspire a loved one, who have been feeling fearful, anxious and overall mentally exhausted, will require understanding and an appropriate combination of exercise, meditation, relaxation techniques and change of eating habits.

According to Ayurveda, the oldest system of health; looks at depression or any ailment, as an imbalance in any or more of the three bio-energies (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), which leads to the disorder.

Ayurveda defines the signs as disproportion of our constitution and not as a disease. A trained authentic Ayurveda physician, recognizes the signs, as the need to find body’s innate autonomic nervous system to be restored to its PH balance.

“You contain within yourself a unique combination of talents and abilities which, properly identified and applied, will enable you to achieve virtually any goal you can set for yourself.” ~ Brian Tracy

The right amount of workout, quiet contemplation, relaxation techniques and change of eating habits will be prescribed. This helps minimize apprehension without causing undesirable side effects and reinstates emotional energy to its original life. It is recommended to practice meditation as the second fold treatment to keep the mind restful.

Ayurveda can be outlined as a tradition of life’s gift and silent knowledge, which utilizes the inherent principles of nature; to heal, to promote vitality and to relieve pain, by keeping the anatomy of energy in perfect equilibrium with the entire cosmos energies.

This timeless wisdom dates back well over 3500 years. During Vedic civilization, it was taught as a verbally narrated art, by skillful Maharishis (master meditators) to their disciples. Some of this intelligence found its way to print a few thousand years ago, but much of it is inaccessible.

Ayurveda’s esteem lies in its subtle yet scientific and natural approach to healing a person in totality and in all creation including our immortal, incorporeal and bodily forms.

Everything in this universe is composed of five elements; air, fire, water, earth and ether (Space). There are represented in every creature as a distinct balance of the “tri-doshas” or energies. Deficiency of Vata, Pitta or Kapha and/or the presence of toxins lead to disharmony or disorders.

Understanding Bio-energies:

Vata (Space and Air) the energy of movement; enables the fluids and nutrients to get to the cells. It oversees breathing, blinking, muscle and tissue movement, pulsation of the heart, and all movements in the cytoplasm and cell membranes. In balance, Vata promotes creativity and flexibility. Out of balance, Vata produces fear and anxiety.

Pitta (Fire and Water) the energy of transformation; expresses as the body's metabolic system and aids digestion or metabolizes the nutrients in the cells. It manages digestion, absorption, assimilation, nutrition, metabolism and body temperature. In balance, Pitta promotes understanding and intelligence. Out of balance, Pitta arouses anger, hatred, and jealousy.

Kapha (Earth and Water) the energy of construction; that forms the body's structure--bones, muscles, tendons and provides the "glue" that holds the cells together. Kapha delivers water for all bodily parts and maintains cellular structure. It lubricates joints, moisturizes the skin, and sustains immunity. In balance, Kapha is expressed as love, calmness, and forgiveness. Out of balance, it leads to attachment, greed, and envy.

Small changes in daily routine:

Sleep early and wake up early: Good rest and sound sleep are very important. If you don’t sleep well, or experience difficulty for sleep to come by, drink at least two glasses of warm water, approximately two hours, before your bed time. Lack of water causes the toxins in our body to accumulate, affecting our health and mood, causing restless sleep. Water helps to rid the body of toxins, induces relaxing and deep sleep. Ayurveda prompts; "early to bed and early to rise philosophy". You will wake up feeling fresh and happy.

Urinate & rehydrate in the morning: Eliminating built-up toxins first thing in the morning helps with the cleansing process. Rehydrate the body in the morning with two glasses of warm water, followed by a healthy breakfast.

Do not skip breakfast: Break the fast. Our body have not been fed for nearly eight to twelve hours. Hence needs nutritional intake in the morning, however, avoid overeating. Breakfast before 7:30 am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Do not consume overly done foods, as it burdens the liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried Veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store or freeze. A plant-based diet is a requisite to access higher states of conscious awareness and a must if suffering from any major illness.

Meditate and quiet the mind: Meditation prompts conscious awareness. Awareness is the space where thinking takes place. Time to reflect helps train our mind to be still. Twenty to thirty minutes of daily introspection assists to cultivate a new way of being or a new skill to focus our attention on our feelings. Feelings are the language of our soul. Once we know how to feel good without any external support, we have found inner peace and a way of BEING.

It's vital to know how we are feeling, as negative emotions indicate or alert us that we are in the process of manifesting something negative. If we stay in this negative thinking state for a prolonged period, we create a habit of thinking negatively all the time. Knowledge of why we create this negative pattern creates awareness. This awareness empowers us to find creative solutions as easy as how light disperses darkness!
